The Electric Vehicle (EV) industry and subsequent EV infrastructure industry are growing due to rising demand for energy-efficient transportation. According to industry research, the market for electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the United States will increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 36.9% between 2022 and 2030.

Electrify America, a market leader in EV charging stations, installs 100% solar-powered charging stations and on-site solar canopies for individuals to use for free. The 100% solar-powered stations were installed in California to provide residents access to EV charging using renewable energy. On-site solar canopies provide shade for people charging their vehicles and can even feed solar energy back into the electrical grid.

As a part of their net-zero sustainability mission, Electrify America will have completed their first operational solar farm, Electrify America Solar Glow 1, in southern California by 2023. According to Giovanni Palazzo, president and CEO of Electrify America, œour commitment to customers and to a sustainable future go hand-in-hand, which is why we are investing in renewable energy generation to commit to a net zero carbon footprint associated with the energy delivered to our customers.

Solar charging stations will almost certainly play an important role in the expansion of the EV infrastructure market. Solar charging stations employ renewable energy to electric vehicles, making the process more sustainable.
